1 cup seasoned bread crumbs 1 1/2 cups seasoned bread crumbs 1 16oz can kidney beans, rinsed and drained and mashed 1 large onion, chopped 1 rib of celery, chopped 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp lemon pepper seasoning 1/2 tsp seasoned salt 2 1/2 lbs of lean ground beef 1/2 cup water In a large bowl combine the eggs, 1 cup ketchup, beans, bread crumbs, onion, celery, Worcestershire sauce, lemon-pepper seasoning and seasoned salt. Crumble beef over the mixture and mix in well. Shape into two loaves. Place in a 13×9 inch baking dish coated with non-stick cooking spray. Combine the remaining ketchup with the water and pour over the loaves. Bake uncovered at 325 for 70 minutes. 12 servings |
I have a tried and true meatloaf recipe the family enjoy but it idoesn’t have beans in it. I can see how the beans would improve the texture and flavour so I’m going to try your recipe. Sounds deicious!
